The Auster appeared in many forms, the J4 being an example with a 'flat' engine . Frequently used as a front line Army co-operation aircraft, it is suited to rough feild operation - even as a model.

The Auster, 1/4scale is quite suitable for beginners with some construction experience and there is a sports dihedral brace shown on the plan for extra stability. Turns are very clean and easy on aileron. With its light weight construction and a 52+ 4-stroke engine, this model gives true style.

This kit contains all the major pre-cut balsa and ply parts, ample balsa sheet, strip and block, plus Fibreglass cowl, pre-formed wire undercarriage parts, accessory pack and construction plan.
